It’s so much harder to accept love than to give it.  Although the wonderful irony is that once we get better at accepting love, we get even better at giving it.

Like me you probably grew up hearing and learning that the more love you give the more you have to give.

Undeniably true, and yet….

The hardest thing to do is open ourselves to letting it in; allowing ourselves to be vulnerable enough to be loved back.

People and life can be pouring love on us from every direction and we won’t notice unless we drop our defenses, walls, beliefs, habits, notions, ideas and anything that keeps us stuck in yesterday’s truths.

So sit with the idea of letting love in before you offer it.  You may discover things you never knew you were missing.
