‘To be vulnerable is to live; to withdraw is to die’. Krishnamurti

‘We are never more powerful than when we’re completely vulnerable and have nothing to defend.’ Robyn

When we aren’t ready to look at or accept something about ourselves we build defenses, but that doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist. Our defenses simply keep us from making peace with the reality of who we are and with the life we’ve created.

Defenses come in lots of forms–delusions, self-deception, passivity, aggression, silence, arrogance, self-righteousness, avoidance, self-absorption, addictions, compulsive behaviors, giving up…the list goes on.

Not suggesting that it’s always appropriate to wave our vulnerability like a red flag in front of a bull. Not always necessary to talk about it.

Sometimes it’s simply enough to know.

Much love,
