“Your flaws are what make you special.”
John Cryer says that’s what he discovered while writing his new memoir ‘So That Happened’.
He nailed it. We think, because we’re pretty much hard-wired to be herd animals, that being or behaving or looking different from everyone else makes us weird or somehow wrong.
But the truth is we are different. Just like the snowflake story you told your kids. No two alike.
Cherish your uniqueness. In my former job I received a criticism on a performance review that I under-pathologized my clients. I cherish that review.
What’s your difference? What’s one unique characteristic that sets you apart from the herd? We’d love to hear about it. Please share.
